Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi is understood to be in talks with one of the candidates for the team's assistant role.
It was reported by the Siya crew earlier this week that Nabi is believed to be assessing his options and that Cedric Kaze from Burundi, is being eyed up by the Chiefs mentor, to add to his technical team.

Having planned to have two assistants for the start of his Chiefs' reign, Nabi was dealt a blow when Fernando Da Cruz left the club after accepting a role in the Moroccan Football Federation.
With Amakhosi aiming to build from their win in the opening match of the 2024/25 season against Marumo Gallants, Nabi is understood to be working on finalising the issue of the assistant coach.
Indications are that talks are ongoing between the Tunisian tactician and Kaze, who is one of the highly rated and qualified African coaches.

"He (Nabi) is talking to Cedric Kaze from Burundi who was with him at Young Africans. He is based in Canada," said the source.
Meanwhile, Chiefs are preparing for a trip to Durban to face AmaZulu FC in their next match next Wednesday.
