Two months after joining the Saudi Pro League side, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star suffered yet another serious injury.

Neymar's cruciate ligament tear sustained in October last year has seen him miss 41 matches, seeing him play just five matches in his debut season in the Middle East.

According to Transfermarkt, this is the 32-year-old's longest spell on the sidelines in his career despite picking up a number of injuries during his time in France too.

Taking to Instagram recently to update his followers over his fitness, Neymar admitted to, at times, wanting to throw in the towel.

"After I suffered this injury, there are days that are difficult, there are days that I want to give up," he wrote, according to ESPN.

"It's hard to go through all of this.

"But here's a warrior who won't stop until I get what I want! God is my strength and my fortress. We will continue fighting every day."
