Pule Targeted For Exciting PSL Project After Pirates Exit

Vincent Pule could be on his way to a new club soon after leaving Orlando Pirates to begin preparations for next season.

After seven years with the Buccaneers since joining from the now defunct Bidvest Wits in 2018, Pule has officially parted ways with the Soweto giants, as confirmed by the club on Tuesday, and first revealed by the Siya crew earlier this year.

Sekhukhune United have emerged as early favourites to sign the experienced player as part of their rebuilding phase under new coach Peter Hyballa, according to sources.

Having parted ways with a whopping 13 players from last season's squad, Babina Noko are targeting a few stars as possible reinforcements for what they expect to be another exciting season to continue from where they left off with the fourth-place finish of the previous campaign.

"Vincent Pule's name has been mentioned for a possible move to Sekhukhune. He is one of the players who fits the club's profile and recruitment strategy in line with their ambitions for success in the league and in Africa.

"You must remember that the team will also be going back to the CAF Confederation Cup, and therefore reinforcing with quality players in key positions is crucial for the club. Having appointed a new coach, the club is doing everything possible to help him to succeed, and therefore you can expect some exciting signings for the team," the source concluded.

In other news, Cape Town City have confirmed signing defender Sibusiso Ziba from Motsepe Foundation Championship side JDR Stars on a four-year deal.
