Agent In Official Talks For Campbell's Overseas Move

Agent In Official Talks For Campbell's Overseas Move

SuperSport United youngster Shandre Campbell could be lost to PSL football within less than a month, with discussions already ongoing for a move in Europe.

The left-footed attacker just completed his first season in the top flight of South African football with Matsatsantsa, as he has proven to be a key component in coach Gavin Hunt's side throughout the campaign. He was not fazed by the challenge of playing first team football, settling in quite well from the word go.

His performances have caught the attention of scouts in Europe and it appears that it's only a matter of time before a dream move is sealed for him to play abroad.

The Siya crew understands that there is serious interest in the Netherlands and Belgium; and ongoing talks will determine where he will be playing his football next season. SuperSport are willing to let the player go, even though he has two more seasons left on his contract.

"There is very strong interest from a few clubs in Europe, specifically two very interesting clubs. We are already in discussions, but I've obviously got to respect the fact that he is contracted to SuperSport United. He still has two years left on his contract. SuperSport have given him a wonderful opportunity and platform from which to build his career. We will always remember that in everything that we do with Shandre," Makaab said to the Siya crew.
