FAR Chiefs 'Unhappy' With Nabi Over Chiefs Talks Confirmation

Moroccan giants AS FAR Rabat are reportedly unhappy with their head coach Nasreddine Nabi confirming that he had received an offer from Kaizer Chiefs immediately after losing the league title.

Last weekend, the team from the Moroccan capital relinquished their Botola Pro Inwi title to Raja Club Athletic, who are led by former Orlando Pirates manager Josef Zinnbauer.

The Green Eagles pipped Nabi's charges to the title by one point as FAR failed to win back-to-back titles for the first time since they won successive league titles in the 1966/67 and 1967/68 campaigns.

In the aftermath of their 2-0 victory over crosstown rivals FUS Rabat last week Friday, which was the final day of the season, the Monastir native confirmed he had been approached by Chiefs to take the reins at Naturena.

According to Kooora, this statement angered the top brass at FAR because they had just lost out on the league, and still had a Moroccan Throne Cup semi-final against Maghreb Fes ahead.

Earlier this week, it was reported that FAR would try to convince Nabi to stay on after that final-four clash this Sunday, but as per the aforementioned publication, the 58-year-old's arrival at the home of the Glamour Boys is imminent, with assistant Fernando Da Cruz expected to lay the groundwork for Nabi's arrival in the coming days.

While nothing has been officially signed, it appears Nabi and Chiefs have agreed on a deal in principle for the Tunisian to be the permanent successor to Molefi Ntseki.
