Soccer Laduma had previously reported how Orlando Pirates had shown initial interest in Khiba.

Siya sources have now indicated that Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC have entered the fray, intensifying competition for the midfielder.

The sources close to both the player and TS Galaxy have added that inquiries may have already been made by Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC regarding Khiba's availability for the upcoming season.

"For now there are other clubs that have joined the race for his signature. It was Pirates who showed interest first and then Chiefs followed them but now Stellenbosch FC have also inquired about him. So that is why I am telling you that there are a number of teams in the race for Thato (Khiba)," the Siya source said.

Despite the growing interest from top clubs, another insider suggested that TS Galaxy are reluctant to let Khiba go, as they are focused on building a strong team.

"But for the right price I think he can go. After all, football is a business as well and although they would want to keep him for a longer period they could let him go if they receive a good offer. Remember, it's not only Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs but also Stellenbosch FC so it will be hard to keep him," the second source revealed to Siya crew.

Soccer Laduma contacted Khiba's agent Nimrod Mbhalati who didn't deny the reports but he also didn't want to confirm Chiefs' interest.

"At the moment there is nothing concrete. Yes, there have been reports but you should know that he still has a contract with Galaxy. He signed a three year contract when he joined last season so only Galaxy will decide what is next," Mbhalati told Soccer Laduma.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who joined The Rockets from Marumo Gallants last season, has made an impact, playing 18 league games and scoring two goals, with a total of 24 games and two goals plus two assists across all competitions.

As interest in Khiba continues to grow, TS Galaxy faces a tough decision on whether to capitalize on his market value or keep him to strengthen their squad for future competitions.
