Plans are in progress for Ernst Middendorp regarding his options for next season following his exit from Cape Town Spurs.
Since November, Middendorp has been in charge at Spurs as their head coach, when the club was making all attempts possible to avoid relegation.

However, the experienced German mentor came short of saving the Mother City outfit as they were automatically relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the end of the season.
"The coach is already planning for the next step of his career. He has already left Cape Town and is currently in Johannesburg and weighing up his options," confirmed a close source.
Meanwhile, the Urban Warriors have issued a statement confirming parting ways with the ex-Kaizer Chiefs coach.
"Cape Town Spurs FC and Ernst Middendorp have mutually agreed to terminate their working relationship with immediate effect," the club confirmed on their official website.

Spurs' CEO Alexi Efstathiou said, speaking on the club's official website, "On behalf of the board and the club, we would like to convey our sincere gratitude to Ernst for his commitment and dedication over recent months. The spirited fight that he was able to master in the second phase with our team was nothing short of amazing."
"Unfortunately, due to the restrictive financial environment of the NFD, the club was unable to extend the relationship. There is nothing sinister in the decision as the coach clearly indicated that he was willing to stay on and assist the team in getting promoted back to the PSL."
