The story

It comes as no surprise that in-form Sekhukhune United skipper Linda Mntambo, is one of the most loved players on Babina Noko roster, with a recent video showing just how popular "Figo" is.

The former Orlando Pirates midfielder was lovingly mobbed by a team of young ballers from Jakaranda Attackers SC, a community football club from Pretoria.

Mntambo was met by the excited group of youngsters outside Sekhukhune's team bus, with the rest of Lehlohonolo Seema's troops gathering their luggage and heading into their hotel.

After taking a host of selfies with Figo, the children also had their football boots signed by the mercurial midfielder, who was humbled by the support he was shown from the Jakaranda Attackers.

"I am lost for words... [I'm] grateful to the almighty for the talent He has bestowed upon my life. @jakarandaattackers_sc, you boys made my day," wrote Mntambo in the caption to video he shared on IG:

Fourth-placed Sekhukhune and Mntambo will hope to get back to winning ways against SuperSport United, as they've only recorded just one win in their last six matches in the DStv Premiership, managing four draws and one defeat in the process.

Matsatsantsa and Babina Noko will meet in a keenly anticipated clash at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Tuesday and three points will be vital to both teams in their push for CAF Confederations Cup qualification.
