Shuffle heaps praise on Dlamini

Orlando Pirates attacking midfielder Kabelo Dlamini revealed to iDiski Times how Jabu Mahlangu discovered him, saying the Chiefs legend played a big part in his journey to professional football.

As revealed by iDiski, Dlamini and Mahlangu hail from the same neighborhood, Daveyton in Johannesburg and interestingly enough, Dlamini earned the nickname "Shuffle" from observers who noted similarities in their playing styles.Reflecting on a pivotal moment in the development of his career, the Pirates star got candid about the day Mahlangu noticed him during a training session in a local park.

This chance encounter led to Mahlangu introducing Dlamini to Farouk Khan's Stars of Africa academy, marking the beginning of his journey to professional football.

"Jabu was a very humble guy and he is a kind person. For him to scout me, I mean he saw a lot of us that day but heard them call me Shuffle, he was impressed with how I played and told me I deserved better.

"He took my number, called Farouk and I went to trial. He did that and the rest is history," Dlamini tells Velile Mnyandu.

Mahlangu took to Instagram to share a screenshot of a tweet about the aforementioned article, with the former mercurial winger understanding why Dlamini has been compared to him, but feels the Bucs star edges him when it comes to professionalism:

"Young Shuffle better than me in terms of professionalism @kabelo_dlamini_18 keep pushing ntwana yami," wrote Mahlangu, with Dlamini responded with:

"Thank you grootman lami, Ok'salayo uyi Bhoza (At the end of the day, you're the best)"
