South African ballers do V-Day the right way

Valentine's Day is commemorated annually on 14 February around the world. It's a day dedicated to love, romance, and heartfelt connections we make as human beings.

People send each other flowers, chocolates, love letters and other grand romantic gestures. In modern times, people express their Valentine's Day on social media in various ways.

Royal AM player/chairman Andile Mpisane dedicated a wholesome message to his wife Tamia to caption a video of the two of them dressed up and flexing their Mercedes G-Wagon rides.

"You are the brightest star of my life. Without you, I would not endure the dark night. I love you! Happy Valentine's Day," wrote Mpisane.

Cape Town City talisman Khanyisa Mayo and his partner Ababalwe Scout enjoyed a romantic, candle-lit dinner for two. Enjoying some alone time away from their adorable toddler.

Before sharing an appreciation post for his wife, who proudly held her bouquet of roses, Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma seemingly poked fun at Linda Mntambo's romantic ways.

The Sekhukhune United midfielder went on to declare: "Siyajola (We date), sijola publicly, loudly!"

Former Banyana Banyana teammates and lovebirds Robyn Moodaly and Gabriela Salgado went above and beyond for each other on the most romantic day of the year.

"Happy Valentine's Day gorgeous. I appreciate you, thank you for loving me through it all. You and me against the world baby," wrote Salgado, who was spoilt with flowers and other treats.

"Happy Valentine's Day my love love. I love doing this life with you. May God give us countless days to cherish our entire life together. Ride or Die," wrote Moodaly.
