Bayern Confirm Stance On Tuchel After Big Loss

Bayern Confirm Stance On Tuchel After Big Loss

Bayern Munich have come to a decision on coach Thomas Tuchel after the 3-0 defeat to Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

The Bavarians now find themselves five points behind Xabi Alonso's men after Saturday's disappointing defeat.

Tuchel has not had the best of tenures in Munich despite winning the Bundesliga last season, which has cast some doubt of the coach's future.

However, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen insists the club are not going to sack Tuchel after the heavy defeat.

"Nothing has changed" Dreesen said, as per Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.

"We knew it would be a difficult game but now we have to look ahead. Deserved defeat, but we won't give up."

Bayern veteran Thomas Muller also stated that blame should lie with the players, not the coach.

"There are not always clear reasons why," Mueller said.

"We weren't there today. There were enough international-calibre players -- that's why we don't need to discuss the coach."
