What's the story?
The PSL Player Transition Programme is on its second year and aims to equip players with the knowledge and skills they need to make a successful transition into the real world after their football careers, preparing players for life after professional football.
Moroka Swallows goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, AmaZulu defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Stellenbosch FC goalkeeper Lee Langeveldt, shared their experience of the programme so far.

DStv Premiership veterans on PSL Player Transition Programme
Launched in 2022, the The PSL Player Transition Programme focuses on current PSL players and aims to provide and empower them with the necessary knowledge and skills to transition into regular life after they have retired.
The Premier Soccer League and Multichoice are partners in this venture along with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) who have been the educational partner for this Player Transition Programme from the start.
Former Kaizer Chiefs players Akpeyi and Mphahlele are involved in the programme this year and gave insights on what they've learnt and how the programme, as a whole, has been for them so far.
"The hardest part about being at school as a soccer player is balancing both your training time and your study time. It's a bit challenging but, once you know what you want, you have to make sacrifices for it, which I am doing now," says Akpeyi when asked about the hardest aspect of balancing his football with his studies.
"I've learned a lot you know, but I should say the Artificial Intelligence that we learnt yesterday was, for me, intriguing. It kept me curious in terms of technology and where the world is going. Again today with Frank, the finance class, [it was] amazing. It was very insightful and an eye opener because we've [footballers] have made lots of mistakes, putting our money where it won't help us or grow..." says Mphahlele when asked about the interesting things he's learnt in class.
"We touched on very important aspects of finance. Then you start to ask yourself questions like maybe I should have done this earlier but look, it's never too late to learn and get better in life. It's been an interesting journey and [I am] very thankful to the PSL, Multichoice and GIBS, we really appreciate them," added the Usuthu defender.
Stellies shot-stopper Lee Langeveldt was asked if he prefers to learn virtually or be in class and answered:
"I think we all prefer to be in class, to have those one-on-one sessions," says the 37-year-old, who is one of the oldest players in the class.
