Folz: I Will Win The PSL

Folz: I Will Win The PSL

Romain Folz coach as the coach of AmaZulu FC during DStv Premiership 2022/23 match between AmaZulu FC and Swallows FC on 01 April 2023 at Moses Mabhida Stadium

Former AmaZulu coach Romain Folz is confident of a return to the Premiership as he believes that he has unfinished business in the league.

Having first arrived in Mzansi in July last year when he was appointed as the coach of Marumo Gallants during their time in the top flight, Folz went on to have a spell with Usuthu as their coach although it ended with him as the technical director before he left the Durban-based side.

Speaking exclusively to the Siya crew, Folz says he has big ambitions about winning the league in Mzansi.

"When the time is right, I will be back in South Africa. I am committed elsewhere. It's not the right time, yet. As always, I am dedicated and focused on my current mission. I will finish my mission with FIFA and then I will evaluate. I refused many offers since October, including some from South Africa. It wasn't the right time. One thing I can tell you, I will come back to South Africa in the future, and I will win the PSL. Best wishes to South Africa in the upcoming Afcon. I hope they do very well and make the country very proud," said Folz.

Regarding some of the allegations that he lost the dressing room at Usuthu and that he was difficult to work with, the coach said, "Some (people) were praising, and some not at all. Everyone always has something to say, an opinion. It becomes a problem when your opinion is dictated by an agenda behind it. Some people are never happy, never accept their own responsibilities. If you do complicated, they want simple. If you do simple, they want complicated. Why? To always have something to say to protect themselves. The negative comments you might have read are never true. Ask others about me and you will understand better. Ask (Lehlohonolo) Majoro, (Ndabayithethwa) Ndlondlo, (Ayanda) Nkili, (Ismail) Watenga, (Mahlatse) Makudubela and others and they will tell you."
