Chiefs Stars Show Togetherness Amid Racism Row Rumours

Chiefs Stars Show Togetherness Amid Racism Row Rumours

Following shock allegations of a rift caused by racism in the Amakhosi camp, a group of players showed a united front in a funny Instagram story.

Check it out!

What's the story?

Kaizer Chiefs stars Bruce Bvuma, Zitha Kwinika, Brandon Petersen, Keagan Dolly and Reeve Frosler have debunked any reported bad vibes in the Kaizer Chiefs camp in a funny video.

The club gripped headlines recently with the Itumeleng Khune alcohol saga as well as a reported racism tension in the team between the black and coloured players.

Let's take a closer look….

It's all dandy in Naturena!

Late last month, A Sunday World article reported on a rift at the club, alleging that black players are tired of the preferential treatment for their coloured teammates at the club.

The bold claim indicates that coloured players enjoyed privileges, led by captain Keagan Dolly and goalkeeper Brandon Peterson.

Although Chiefs' interim head coach, Cavin Johnson, has downplayed the serious racism allegations, some players took it further in an Instagram story.

The video shows Bvuma and Kwinika in the front seat of an SUV, with Frosler, Dolly and Peterson at the back.

The lads in the front jokingly referred to the group at the back as "Varados", with Dolly replying: "Hosh!"

Watch:

Despite the recent drama at the club, the players showed plenty of togetherness on the pitch over the weekend, with a Pule Mmodi strike against Polokwane City helping them to their sixth league win of the season.

The 1-0, which saw plenty of heroics in-goal from Bruce Bvuma leaves Amakhosi in sixth place, two points away from Orlando Pirates in fifth, who have a game in-hand.
