Losing Man Utd Dressing Room? Ten Hag Responds!

Erik ten Hag has claimed Manchester United's players are still behind him.

Erik ten Hag has responded to reports claiming many of Manchester United's players have lost faith in him amid the Red Devils' struggling form in England and Europe.

On Tuesday, multiple journalists in England were banned from attending the Dutchman's pre-match press conference ahead of United's Premier League match against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

This controversial decision was taken after several reports did the rounds earlier this week claiming that Ten Hag is facing a dressing-room revolt following the team's 1-0 loss to Newcastle United this past weekend.

Some stated that 50% of the squad are losing faith in the former Ajax Amsterdam head coach, who was only appointed by the club last year, amid their turbulent start to the 2023/24 campaign.

Others, meanwhile, claimed the players have found Ten Hag's treatment of English winger Jadon Sancho unfair, with the 23-year-old having not featured since his public fallout with the manager in September.

The Dutch tactician has insisted otherwise, however, referencing a few of the team's positive results as proof his players believe in what he has trying to achieve.

"I am sure the players are behind me," he said, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

"You can see, for instance, the comeback against Brentford, the Burnley game, the Fulham game, every time the team is there, showed great character, great determination, resilience, so we are together.

"Stories in the media about players are not true. No chaos in the dressing room.

"In every team there are always players who are not playing or playing less who are less happy. In some circumstances you need that, they have to wait for their chance. But no, there are no issues."
