Since joining Babina Noko in July last year from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Platinum City Rovers, Mokwana has made notable improvement with his inspiring performances.
The 24-year-old has made 17 appearances across all competitions in the current campaign and scored two goals and made two assists.
Mokwana's hard work was recognised when he was selected by Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos in the 44-member preliminary squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda recently.
"Sekhukhune United are inundated with enquiries for the services of rising star Elias Mokwana. It looks like the club will find it difficult to hold on to the player at the end of the season as interest in him is growing," said the source.

"Kaizer Chiefs have become one of the latest clubs to show interest in the player. Pirates are also interested like you guys reported. But Chiefs are now keen to enter another deal with Sekhukhune following their agreement for Yusuf Maart at the end of last season. Expect talks to commence between the two clubs," the source added.
