Pirates Monitoring Sekhukhune United Forward?

Pirates Monitoring Sekhukhune United Forward?

Orlando Pirates could be monitoring a Sekhukhune United forward, the Siya crew has been informed.

With the January transfer window around the corner, clubs are looking at beefing up their respective squads and the player in question for Bucs is Elias Mokwana.

Siya sources have indicated that Pirates' scouts could have recommended that the technical team should consider the former Platinum City Rovers player.

"It's a player (Elias Mokwana) that the team feels can add value in the side's attacking powers and both the scouting department and the technical team have looked into his abilities and they would like to bring him on board," said the Siya source.

"What I am not sure of is whether it will be in January or at the end of the season. But they are monitoring him right now," the source added.

A second Siya source added that since there is a player from Pirates that Sekhukhune United could be interested in too, then this could turn out to be a player plus money swap deal.

"Both teams are interested in each others player so it will all depend on the talks if and when the talks commence. But Pirates are mainly interested and monitoring Elias (Mokwana) so it will also depend on the talks between the two teams concerning who really wants the other player more," said the second Siya source.

"So let's wait for the transfer window period to open," the source told Soccer Laduma.

The Siya crew contacted Pirates for comment but no response was received while this story was prepared.
