The Portuguese has been in charge of Italian side Roma since 2021, but will see his current deal at the club expire at the end of the season.

Mourinho, 60, has had spells in Portugal, England, Spain and Italy in his managerial career so far, and fans could see the tactician try his hand in Saudi Arabia amid reported interest from teams in the country.

Earlier this year, he admitted to turning down a lucrative proposal from a club in the Saudi Pro League, but said he was open to working in the Middle East in the future.

In an interview this week, Mourinho confirmed he is likely to one day take his methods to the Saudi PIF-backed division, but refused to be drawn into when that potential move could materialise.

"I think one day I will join Saudi Pro League. I think I will go and coach there, yes," he told Rai1.

"But that day won't be tomorrow or after tomorrow."

Mourinho is widely considered among the greatest managers of all time, having won league titles in all four countries he has coached in.
