Mourinho Set For Another Exit? Roma Boss Responds

Mourinho Set For Another Exit? Roma Boss Responds

AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho has casted more doubt over the prospect of him staying at the club beyond this season.

With increasing doubt being cast over whether or not Jose Mourinho will continue as AS Roma manager beyond this season, the two-time UEFA Champions League-winning boss has responded to the rumours.

With each passing week, the uncertainty surrounding the 60-year-old's future in the Eternal City mounts, and it appears increasingly likely he will be departing the Giallorossi once the 2023/24 season comes to an end.

Mourinho's current deal at the Stadio Olimpico runs until the end of the campaign, and with the Setubal native known for often leaving clubs after his third season in charge, it looks as though this could be the final campaign we see the iconic tactician in the Roma dugout.

The former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager did not dowse the intensifying rumours when, in an interview with Rai Sport's TG1, he was quizzed on whether or not he would stay in the Italian capital, answering by saying: "Will I stay here? I don't know. The last time I spoke to Mister Dan [Friedkin, Roma co-owner], I was on the phone for 10 minutes after the end of the Lazio match, in my office.

"Last week I spoke with Ryan [Friedkin, Roma co-owner], we talk about today and today's work, not about renewal."

It is likely that Roma will be hoping Mourinho resumes his responsibilities at the club, having been able to attract a different echelon of player since the former Manchester United boss took charge.

The likes of Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku have made their way to Rome and with both also on deals set to expire this season, it remains to be seen if they will commit their futures to the club without the Portuguese tactician's presence in Rome.
