Mabedi Distances Himself From Fake Facebook Account

Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Patrick Mabedi has distanced himself from a fake Facebook account that is being used to impersonate him on social media. 

The current Malawi national team coach has revealed that he does not have any Social Media account.

In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Mabedi said that it is unfortunate that there are people out there who are using his name to create fake Facebook account and tarnish his credibility.

Mabedi revealed that he has currently engaged his lawyers to talk to Facebook administrators to try and trace who this person.

Mabedi wants to shut down that fake Facebook account.

"My brother. Someone is faking on this Facebook account and it's not me," Mabedi urged all football loving people.

"Please tell people and everyone that am not on Facebook and I don't do social media it's a fake account and if we can find this person he or she will be prosecuted.

"My lawyers are busy right now trying to work with Facebook administrators to help find these people.

"You know we are busy preparing for our home game against Tunisia in the World Cup qualifiers and these people are just out there to disturb us.

"I am not on Facebook, Instagram or even Twitter.

"I am not on my Social Media.

"This account is fake. Please don't take it seriously."
