The France captain made headlines during the off-season when he publicly stated that he had no intention of exercising the one-year option that exists in his contract with Les Parisiens.
This caused major shockwaves within French football, particularly among the PSG hierarchy, who consequently took the decision to ban him from the first team during pre-season.
Tensions between the two parties have since simmered with Mbappe now banging in the goals of the Ligue 1 champions, but as the new year approaches, rumours surrounding Mbappe's future at the Parc des Prince have begun gaining traction once again.
Real Madrid have long courted the Bondy native, with Liverpool, among other clubs, also believed to be a contender for the 24-year-old's signature.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup was once again quizzed on what his future plans are on the weekend, and he responded by telling Telefoot: "It's something I don't want to talk about, especially since I already did it in June and it took up a big part of the international break.
"I want us to talk more about the national team, rather than me talking about something that will be resolved one day, so there will be time to talk about that."
