The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been in excellent form this season for the Saudi giants, having scored 12 Saudi Pro League goals and three times in the AFC Champions League.
Al Nassr return to the continental cup competition on Tuesday for a fixture against Qatari side Al Duhail, but they will not have Ronaldo to lean on in attack.
The 38-year-old has been left out of his team's matchday squad, a decision made by manager Luis Castro.
"[Ronaldo] was engaged in a tough Saudi Pro League [game against Al Khaleej] two days ago and after assessing his physical condition I decided to rest him to avoid fatigue," he said, according to The Peninsula.
Former Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has also been left out of the squad.
Ronaldo and the Spanish international both scored in Al Nassr's 2-0 win over Al Khaleej last weekend.
