What's the story? 

Footage of an under-11's football team from Alexandra in Johannesburg has caught the attention of Mzansi football fans on social media. 

The young ballers were putting on quite a show in one of their matches, displaying a nuclear level of Kasi Flava, with several fans expressing their concerns over how players are being developed in this country.

Under-11 ballers bring next level Kasi Flava

The culture of Kasi Flava certainly isn't lost on South Africa's younger generation of footballers, with an under-11 team from Alex Royal Tigers Sports Club going viral for their exhibition of skill.

According to club, who shared the video on Instagram before it was re-shared on the same platform and Twitter/X, Alex Royal Tigers were leading 4-0 in stoppage time when the Kasi Flava was unleashed.

"Sometimes let them have fun. So long as the basics and discipline can be instilled. Under 11 bringing kasi flavour to the burbs," reads the caption of the video shared by the club.

While many purist were entertained by the showboating on display, quite a few Twitter/X users saw it as counter-productive and potentially harmful to the development of the country's future football stars.

Others appreciated the technical ability on show, while pointing out that the boys had killed the game and should be allowed to express their creativity.
