While his form since joining Los Blancos in a deal worth €103 million (R2 billion) at the start of the campaign has been remarkable, he seemed to raise his game to even greater heights as the Three Lions defeated Italy in a 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifier on Tuesday.
Bellingham, who is still only 20 years old, won the penalty kick that Harry Kane converted for England's equaliser in the first half, before providing the assist for Marcus Rashford's goal in the 57th minute following a brilliant piece of midfield play.
His night ended in the 85th minute, when Gareth Southgate replaced him with Manchester City's Jack Grealish, with fans at Wembley getting on their feet to give the former Birmingham City man a warm applause.
Speaking after the game, Bellingham seemed to credit his move to Real for his improvement, and admitted he would ideally like to stay at the Spanish giants for at least the next decade.
"I am getting a little better each time I play," he told Channel 4.
"It was a really good night for us, we all remember what happened a few years ago when they played us here. You always aim for progression. We are heading in the right direction and a very important win for us.
"I am loving football at the minute. My management at club and country are giving me freedom to play it how I see it.
"Since the last few months, I have been really working on my timing getting into the box and as I am arriving, I am arriving with a big hunger.
"With the big transfer the fact is I have to deliver, whether it is a goal or assist or a match-winning performance.
