Orlando Pirates secured the R8 million MTN8 prize money for the second year running after defeating Mamelodi Sundowns 3-1 on penalties, following a goalless 90 and extra-time.
It was a sea of black on the Moses Mabhida stands, with Pirates lifting a new-look MTN8 trophy that saw Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori giving fans a touch of the cup.

In a funny moment shared on Instagram by Kermit Erasmus' friend Sbu Sibeko, the 33-year-old was given a cake to celebrate his third MTN8 trophy in-a-row with both Pirates and Sundowns.

It was pure joy in the Buccaneers change-room after the penalty shoot-out win over Masandawana.
Just like last season, there was plenty of dancing and singing happening in the triumphant Sea Robbers change-room, with a rather unlikely figure leading the celebrations.
Midfielder Makhehlene Makhaula was turned the change-room into a "Jika Ma Jika" dance floor, while being videoed and cheered on by his teammates and coaches:
