Mohamme's lobola celebration
25-year-old defender Katlego Mohamme has taken his first steps towards marriage with his bride-to-be, Karabo after the couple commemorated the end of their lobolo negotiations.
The tradition of paying lobola, which is a payment made to the bride's family, is commonly practiced in several Southern African cultures.
The lobola ceremony itself sees a formal process of negotiation between two families in order to come to a mutual agreement on a price/value for the bride.
It's understood that the custom surrounding the practice of paying lobola is to seal the relationship between the two people who plan to get married and their families.
The lobola shows that the groom is capable of taking care of a family and also serves as a token of gratitude to the bride's family for raising a well-rounded woman.

In celebration of their impending union, the future Mr and Mrs Mohamme were beautifully matched in traditional wear and danced joyously among their closest people.
Sundowns midfielder Sipho Mbule was spotted in traditional Zulu wear to support of his former teammate, with Keletso Makgalwa, recently released by Downs, also in attendance.
