Last season's second-placed finish in the Premier League put new wind in the sails of the north London giants, though it could have been a more successful campaign for Mikel Arteta's men if not for a dip in form towards the end of the campaign.

Fresh faces arrived in the recently passed transfer window with the hope of helping Arsenal challenge once again, with the Gunners also having returned to the UEFA Champions League after a long absence.

Rice was arguably the most high-profile signing the club secured ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, after he arrived from London rivals West Ham United in a deal worth a staggering £100 million (R2.3 billion).

Below are Arsenal's 10 highest-paid players this season!

10= Ben White – £120 000
10= Aaron Ramsdale – £120 000
9. Oleksandr Zinchenko – £150 000
8. Gabriel Martinelli – £180 000
7. William Saliba – £190 000
6. Bukayo Saka – £195 000
5. Thomas Partey – £200 000
4. Declan Rice – £240 000
3. Gabriel Jesus – £265 000
2. Kai Havertz – £280 000

The England international has appeared right at home since joining Arteta's impressive project, this after being made the team's third best-paid player at the time of his arrival. Havertz has looked less convincing, which will be worrying to fans due to his high wages.

According to Capology, the former Chelsea player, who is still awaiting his first goal for the club, is Arsenal's second-best earner on £280 000 (R6.4 million) a week. Captain Martin Odegaard, meanwhile, penned a new deal on Friday to reportedly overtake Havertz in the list.

The Norway midfielder has quickly risen to prominence in the Premier League due to his outstanding performances in red and white, and has been rewarded with a new bumper contract that will see him stay at the club until 2028.

Wingers Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli feature among the 10 highest-paid stars at the Emirates Stadium too.
