Isaacs: Soon Chiefs Will be Unstoppable

Isaacs: Soon Chiefs Will be Unstoppable

Dominic Isaacs

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Dominic Isaacs has stated that Kaizer Chiefs should take advantage of Mamelodi Sundowns with Themba Zwane and Peter Shalulile out injured going into the MTN8 semi-final second leg fixture in two weeks.

In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Isaacs stated that after the two teams played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg encounter at FNB Stadium, that Chiefs are improving with every game that they are playing in and that soon they will be unstoppable.

"I think they did very well against Mamelodi Sundowns in that game in the MTN8 first leg. They didn't give Sundowns the chance to play their game at all," said the Siya source.

"They were just very unfortunate that after leading they conceded in the dying minutes. But as I have said, they closed Sundowns from penetrating their goal area. You have to plan around their danger men and Chiefs did that very well in that game.

"And Chiefs should take the advantage that Sundowns don't have Peter Shalulile and that Themba Zwane is injured. That's an advantage to Chiefs and they should use that.

"Ntseki did brilliantly by closing down their full backs from attacking the way they do. And they should have won that game," Isaacs said.

The former defender added that it's good that coach Ntseki is finding his first eleven and concrete team because that's what helps a team win games.

"It's good that he is having a fixed line-up. Look at the Stuart Baxter team. Or the Chiefs of the 70s and 80s. They had fixed line-ups and that makes the team dangerous," added Isaacs.

"Look at Barcelona, Chelsea or Manchester City when they have fixed line-ups they perform very well and I think that's what Ntseki is doing. Let's give him a chance. If he can win two or three games in a row it will be very difficult to beat Chiefs.

"Supporters must be patient. The coach is patient and they should learn from him. Look at how he has been patient with Brandon Petersen after those mistakes.

"Who thought he would still stand strong like that? I know supporters differ but let's all look at the positive direction that the team is taking. Soon Chiefs will be a force to reckon with. Let's just give the coach a chance," Isaacs concluded.Open a tab account, it's easy and start betting on local and international soccer now!
