Ntseki Delighted For Mmodi As Chiefs 'Calm The Storm'

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki was delighted to see Pule Mmodi get on the score sheet and feels the win over AmaZulu has 'calmed the storm'.

The Soweto giants bagged their first DStv Premiership win as a brace from Mmodi and a late header from Edson Castillo sealed a 3-0 win over Usuthu.

Ntseki feels the win comes at the right time after the disappointment of last week's loss to TS Galaxy.

"I think it was important, I must say well done to the boys, I think they put a good shift. I think the organization, the structure was very much intact," Ntseki told SuperSport after the game.

"We needed to get maximum points today because of where we come from and I think this has really helped the club, this has really helped individuals and the team as a whole to calm down the storm.

"And in calming down the storm, we're listening to our footsteps and it means tactically we have to go back and improve in areas that we need to improve on."

He continued, "It was a very important one because last week we conceded from a critical phase, so even today we were saying lets catch them early, so that we can settle, we can manage the game," he went on.

"And I think the shift that the boys had to put today it was good for them to get an early goal and I think AmaZulu had the better part of possession but they had possession in areas that we wanted them to be.

"And I think with Pule scoring the goals, it's good for him. I think he's been through a lot and for the club and players as a whole, we're saying thank you."
