SuperSport United are out to ensure their squad is strong enough to compete on all fronts with the addition of a player from Tshwane giants Mamelodi Sundowns.
Indications are that SuperSport, who have already brought in Etiosa Ighodaro and Grant Margeman from Sundowns, have moved closer to securing a deal with Lyle Lakay.

Lakay made a surprise loan move to Cape Town City last season and it's been quite clear that he is not in the plans at Sundowns, who have quite a number of players in his position. SuperSport, who were knocked out of the MTN8 over the weekend, have been talking to the player in recent weeks and are understood to be close to making an announcement to have him on board for the season.
Lakay, who turns 32 this month, is no stranger to SuperSport. He was in the youth structures at the club and was promoted to the first team in 2009, before leaving permanently to join Bloemfontein Celtic, following a loan spell at FC Cape Town.
The former junior international will return to the club with a lot more experience that will come in handy, considering SuperSport will also be competing in the CAF Confederation Cup.
