Vilakazi Wants To Make Young People’s Dreams Come True

Vilakazi Wants To Make Young People’s Dreams Come True

Sibusiso Vilakazi has become the latest South African football star to start their own foundation, with the goal of changing young people's lives. Check it out!

What's the story?

Sekhukhune United star Sibusiso Vilakazi announced on Instagram that he's starting his own foundation, named 'The Great Vila Foundation'.

Through this new venture, "Vila" wants to give talented young people the opportunity to achieve their wildest dreams, just like he did as a five-time DStv Premiership winner.

Vila starts foundation

One can definitely say that Vila is entering the twilight stages of his illustrious career. The 33-year-old is now looking to give back to young talent with his foundation.

"The Great Vila Foundation is a combination of two young minds with an expanding team of young people that thrive on a vision of changing lives, a step at a time," wrote Vilakazi on his IG caption.

The Soweto-born attacking midfielder seems to recognise the untapped talent where he comes from and his foundation could help expose that:

"Where we come from there's a lot talented young people that have so much potential and they can become anything they want. Some of them just need an opportunity to show case their GOD GIVEN TALENT.

"We want to be the connection between young people and opportunities. We believe we can start small and build from here, as our aim is to give, guide, and show young people that they can achieve not normal dreams but scary, CRAZY dreams. We'll expose their gifts, talents and give platform's through different programs," he concludes on IG.

Vila isn't the only DStv Prem star with a foundation. Sundowns stars Teboho Mokoena and Neo Maema share similar goals with their foundations, with Linda Mntambo also hard at work to give back.

He congratulated the former PSL Footballer of the Year in the comment section by saying:

"Let us continue to give back and change lives."
