Arsenal 'Keen' To Lure Real Madrid Star Away From Spain

Arsenal 'Keen' To Lure Real Madrid Star Away From Spain

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for a Real Madrid star.

Arsenal have reportedly added one of Real Madrid's most expensive players ever to their transfer wish list for the off-season.

According to Football Transfers, Brighton Hove Albion's Moises Caicedo and Belgium international Romeo Lavia are the two defensive midfielders the Gunners are prioritising after finalising their recent acquisitions.

However, should the north Londoners fail in their pursuit of the aforementioned duo, they will reportedly turn their attention to Real star Aurelien Tchouameni.

The France international signed for Los Blancos at the beginning of the 2022/23 season, and while he had a decent start to life at the Santiago Bernabeu, his debut campaign in the Spanish capital eventually became one filled with inconsistency, and it now seems that the 13-time EPL champions are keen to provide an exit route for the Rouen native.

While the Premier League's most recent runners-up are said to be long-time admirers of the deep-lying midfielder, though, Los Blancos are believed to be reluctant to sell Tchouameni.

It is said the only instance in which a sale of the 23-year-old would be considered is if the acquisition of Kylian Mbappe became a realistic possibility for this off-season, with it claimed that if Paris Saint-Germain drop their asking price for the pacey attacker to €150 million (R3 billion), then the chiefs at Valdebebas would be more open to letting go of his Les Bleus teammate.

However, for the time being, it seems the ex-Bordeaux and AS Monaco man is off limits. Los Merengues made him the fifth most expensive player in their history when they paid €80 million (R1.6 billion) to sign him last year, and the same report claims that club president Florentino Perez still sees the Frenchman as the long-term replacement for Casemiro.
