Plot Twist, Chivaviro Prefers Chiefs Over Pirates!

Plot Twist, Chivaviro Prefers Chiefs Over Pirates!

The mad season is indeed upon us and while it had been widely reported that Marumo Gallants striker Ranga Chivaviro to Orlando Pirates was as good as done, there has been a dramatic twist of events during the last couple of days.

The Siya crew has been informed that while the Soweto giants appeared to have won the signature of the burly marksman, the player has apparently changed his mind and forced his team to rethink the transfer deal. Chivaviro is believed to have recanted and informed Gallants that after thinking deeply about his next move, he felt comfortable to join rivals Kaizer Chiefs, who are believed to have not exactly broken the bank but tabled an improved offer to their first.

Now, according to Siya sources, the player could get his wish after strongly indicating to his club and his handlers that if there is no concrete offer from abroad, he is happy to pursue his career at Naturena. This will come as a huge relief to the Glamour Boys, who have not only underperformed during the last seven years but have had more misses than hits in the transfer market trying to secure a striker that could hit double digits in a season.

Both Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana and Christian Saile have neither hit the ground running nor covered themselves in glory since arriving at the club, which has forced Chiefs to look around. Chivaviro, on the other hand, has been phenomenal both on the domestic and continental fronts, singlehandedly leading lightweights Gallants to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Although there had been enquiries and offers from North Africa, it seems like the lure of Amakhosi's famous Gold and Black shirt might have won them the day as far as Chivaviro's signature is concerned. Important to note, though, the player, according to reports, has signed a pre-contract with Richards Bay FC and in that case, Chiefs would need to buy him out of his deal with the KZN outfit.

Which club would be best for Chivaviro?
