Neymar 'Makes' New Decision On PSG Future

Neymar 'Makes' New Decision On PSG Future

Neymar has reportedly made a U-turn regarding his future at Paris Saint-Germain.

After it was widely rumoured that Neymar wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain this off-season, the Brazilian superstar now reportedly has a new stance on his future.

According to L'Equipe, the 31-year-old no longer wants to depart the Parc des Princes and is eager to see out the rest of his contract in the French capital.

This news emerges after the Ligue 1 giants were heavily tipped to appoint Luis Enrique as their new manager, and it seems the Brazilian is eager to reunite with his former Barcelona boss.

It once seemed likely that PSG's dramatic 4-3 victory win over Lille in February would be the final time the Mogi das Cruzes native would be seen donning the club's jersey as an ankle injury in that match saw his 2022/23 campaign come to a premature end.

While his injury woes since joining the club have persisted, the team's fanbase appeared to become disillusioned with their record signing earlier this year, going as far as protesting outside his house and telling him to leave the record Ligue 1 champions.

That incident seemed to convince Brazil's all-time top goalscorer that maybe his time in the French capital had come to an end, with the club also rumoured to be eager to part ways with the attacker, but with Enrique now tipped to arrive in France, it is claimed that Neymar now wants to stay.

It was under the 53-year-old Spaniard that the forward enjoyed arguably his best football, managing 90 goals and 68 assists in the 140 matches he played under Enrique during their time together in Catalonia.

Perhaps more importantly, it was when he was coached by the former Spain and AS Roma boss that the skilful attacker was able to get his hands on the UEFA Champions League trophy, a prize that has eluded him since that 2014/15 campaign.
