Osimhen Seals AFCON Ticket For Nigeria

Sierra Leone 2-3 Nigeria

Nigeria qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Sierra Leone 3-2 in their penultimate Group A clash.

Star striker Victor Osimhen bagged a brace to put the Super Eagles 2-0 up in the first half, before the host pulled level thanks to goals from Mustapha Bundu and Augustus Kargbo.

With the game seemingly headed for a draw, Leicester City star Kelechi Iheanacho popped up with the winning goal for Nigeria, who sealed qualification with a game to spare.

The Super Eagles can wrap up top spot on the final match day against São Tomé e Príncipe

Madagascar 0-0 Ghana

Qualification spots in Group E remain up for grabs after Ghana and Madagascar played to a goalless draw on Sunday evening.

The Black Stars remain top of the group with one game to play, while Madagascar are officially out of the running to qualify as they sit bottom of the group.

Congo 0-2 Mali

Mali's hopes of qualification remain alive after they defeated Congo 2-0 in Brazzaville on Sunday.

Second-half goals from Ibrahima Kone and Nene Dorgeles guided the visitors to maximum points.

Congo currently sit in Group G, three points behind Gambia who they face in their final group game.

Rwanda 0-2 Mozambique

Mozambique edged closer to secure a ticket to the Africa Cup of Nations after securing a 2-0 win away to Rwanda at the Stade Huye.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 43rd minute through Geny Catamo before Clesio sealed the win in second-half stoppage time.

Rwanda, meanwhile, can no longer qualify for the tournament while Mozambique take on third-place Benin in their final group clash.

Cape Verde 3-1 Burkina Faso

Cape Verde sealed their ticket for next year's tournament with a 3-1 victory over Burkina Faso on Sunday evening.

Goals from Bebe, Joao Paulo and Cle clinched maximum points for the home side, while Burkina Faso were already qualified heading into the clash.

The battle for top spot in Group B will go down to the final match day.

Uganda 1-2 Algeria

Algeria maintained their perfect record in Group F after defeating Uganda 2-1 in their penultimate qualifier on Sunday evening.

Mohamed Amoura bagged a brace for the North African giants with a goal in each half to cement top spot.

Fahad Bayo managed to bag a consolation goal for Uganda, who sit in third spot and three points behind second-place Tanzania.

Tanzania 1-0 Niger

Tanzania kept their qualifying hopes alive after defeating Niger 1-0 at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.

Simon Msuva netted the game's only goal in the 69th minute to secure maximum points.
