With Kaizer Chiefs fans expressing their hopes in the club luring Al Ahli head coach Pitso Mosimane to their club, the South African has since commented on talk linking him to Amakhosi.

Mosimane is currently back in South Africa after managing to not only gain promotion to the Saudi Arabian Pro League - but also managing to win the First Division title in his first season in charge.

There has been uncertainty regarding Mosimane's future with Al Ahli, however, with the club's President hinting that they could continue without 'Jingles' although the coach had been adamant that he wants to see out his contract, which contains a further year.

It is worth noting that Mosimane and his staff have also not been paid a salary for the last five months, according to the South African coach.

Naturally, talk has swung in the direction of a possible return to South Africa, with Chiefs touted as a possible destination. While he hasn't ruled anything out, Mosimane says a return to Africa is not at the top of his priorities at the moment.

"No, I don't know. I'll ask my agent. My agent has never told me anything about Kaizer Chiefs. She told me about a few things at this point in time," he told PowerFM.

"It's not easy to come back to Africa. It's not easy, because sometimes it's you want to win trophies, you want to win the Champions League with another team. You want to win trophies in North Africa, I always wanted to be in North Africa. I always wanted to be in Morocco."

The next few weeks will be interesting for Mosimane as he is set to engage in crunch talks with the Al Ahli management regarding his future at the club and it remains to be seen what the future holds for Mosimane, who won his 19th trophy last season.
