Motlanthe Courted By PSL?

Motlanthe Courted By PSL?

The South African Football Association is still reeling from the bombshell dropped by their former CEO, who resigned from the organization last week.

Such has been the ripple effects of his resignation that SAFA President Danny Jordaan even called an emergency national executive committee meeting on Saturday to discuss Advocate Tebogo Motlanthe's sudden resignation.

But while SAFA has been hit below the belt by his sudden departure that will certainly leave a huge void, this publication has picked on information that he is being seriously courted by the Premiership to cross the floor.

The Siya crew has been informed that due to his excellent work ethic and professionalism that he brought into the mother body, the PSL has always admired Motlanthe from a distance.

And now that he has resigned from SAFA, they probably feel now is the time to bring him on board to act in a similar capacity within their own organization.

Golden Arrows chairperson Mato Madlala has been acting in that capacity since 2015 and that is one area the PSL has been criticised for failing to find a permanent CEO for an organization considered one of the most commercially successful on the continent.

Motlanthe was scheduled to hold a private meeting with SAFA President Danny Jordaan on Sunday, perhaps to brief him about his decision to leave, and the two parties addressed the media on Monday, where Lydia Monyepao was announced as the new SAFA CEO.

According to our source, the recent spat between the two organizations has nothing to do with Motlanthe's sudden decision as he had a lot of admirers in the PSL for quite some time.
