Zwane On Returning Star: I Love Him

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane could not hide his admiration for one of his players who recently returned from a lengthy injury layoff.

Zwane had to make do without the services of Reeve Frosler for nearly three months as the 25-year-old defender suffered a jaw fracture against Royal AM in January this year.

In the interim, Zitha Kwinika, Siyabonga Ngezana and Dillan Solomons stood in for the injured Frosler as he made his way back to full fitness.

Frosler's return proved to be a boost for Amakhosi as they managed to progress to the semi-final of the Nedbank Cup thanks to a 2-1 extra time win over Royal AM last Sunday.

After the match, Zwane waxed lyrical about his full back's exemplary behaviour while nursing his injury and has urged other players to follow in his footsteps.

"Reeve has been out for quite some time and then he came back and played about 110 minutes. He gave his best and it tells you about his attitude. I just gave him a boost and also in front of everyone because of the professionalism when he was also injured," he told journalists.

"Not even one of our medical team members complained about him missing time or coming late or not attending to those things that you were supposed to, in terms of his recovery and rehabilitation.

"So, he is one boy that that the game will reward him because his disciplined, dedicated and loves the game, and there's a lot of passion. And so, I just wanted to make him an example so that others can learn from him as well, that even when you are injured, you still have to remain a pro. You are a pro in and out, on and off the field, so I'm proud of him and that is why the performance also was like that because he conducts himself very well and he's a professional player. I love him," Zwane added.

Frosler is once again expected to form part of the Chiefs side that take on Sekhukhune United this Sunday.
