Agent ‘Not Sure’ As Jali's Return To Chloorkop Is Uncertain

Agent ‘Not Sure’ As Jali's Return To Chloorkop Is Uncertain

Mamelodi Sundowns players are celebrating another DStv Premiership title and a top spot finish in the CAF Champions League group phase, but Andile Jali is still not there to join in on the happiness at Chloorkop.

Reports recently broke that the former Orlando Pirates allegedly got to training under the influence of alcohol, along with midfielder Sipho Mbule, who has been part of the team. Jali, however, has not been at Chloorkop for a few weeks now and it's unclear if he will return to the club before the end of the end of the campaign.

Jali will be turning 33 over the Easter weekend and his future with the former African champions is up in the air, with his contract coming to an end in June.

It's understood that the player is heading out of the club when the contract expires in less than the three months, and there is tons of interest in his services at the moment. AmaZulu, Cape Town City and SuperSport United are some of the clubs believed to be monitoring the situation of Jali.

Asked if Jali has returned to Chloorkop, agent Mike Makaab said, "No."

Makaab was unable to say if the player would be back at the club's headquarters before the end of the season.

"Honestly, I am not sure."

The Siya crew understands that Jali may already be weighing up his options as he starts to prepare for life away from Chloorkop next season, as things are currently at a standstill with his discussions at Sundowns, who are understood to be ready to go their separate ways with the player.
