Pirates Eye Up Top Goalscorer?

As it has been recently reported tin local media, the Motsepe Foundation Championship top goalscorer is believed to be a wanted man by Gauteng-based teams.

Now, news reaching the Siya crew is that Orlando Pirates are eyeing up the player.

Two sources close to the player  both confirmed that the Buccaneers are keen to land the 21-year-old who has already scored 14 league goals for his team this season.

"I can tell you that Pirates are the favourites to sign him. They have a good relationship with Spurs. As you know their young striker Radiopane (Boitumelo) is currently on loan there and the two youngsters are doing very well together and Pirates may want to see them play together again at Bucs," the first source revealed to the Siya crew.

The second sources added, "What I know is that the player says he would like to play for Pirates but as you know sometimes it's not up to the player at this stage though the chances are that he would end up there," he said.

Cupido said that he has heard of the reports, but right now his focus is on helping the Urban Warriors gain promotion back to the DStv Premiership at the end of the season.

"It's every player's dream to one day play for a bigger team in their careers. But you know, I have a duty right now to help Spurs win promotion. It's not easy in the first division because every game is like a cup final but we are working hard at training and during games. I am personally thankful to coach Shaun (Bartlett) because he was a top striker for this club and he tells me how to handle myself in a match situation. And finally, as a team we are thankful to our supporters and we urge them to continue supporting the team. We will give our best to fight for promotion. As for moving it will happen when that time comes but for now my focus is to help Spurs gain promotion," Cupido concluded.

Attempts were made by the Siya crew to contact the Buccaneers, but proved futile at the time of publishing.
