Al Hilal Coach Vows To Play Differently Against Downs

Florent Ibenge has suggested that they will play in a different way against Sundowns this coming weekend.

Al Hilal coach Florent Ibenge has vowed to approach this weekend's game against Mamelodi Sundowns differently after losing their opening CAF Champions League encounter to the South African giants in Tshwane.

The Sudanese giants did not have an ideal start to their Champions League campaign after they were beaten 1-0 by Masandawana in the competition's opening clash at Loftus Versfeld.

Since then, however, the Blue Wave have managed to claim three successive wins in the tournament which include a notable sculpt against Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

Now Ibenge's men will welcome Rulani Mokwena's charges to Khartoum after their emphatic 3-0 win over Manana in the Arab Club Champions Cup in midweek.

A win over Ka bo Yellow will secure their passage to the quarter-final of the Champions League and the Congolese tactician has promised that they will approach their encounter against the South Africans in a different way to their victory over Baharaini Premier League table toppers.

"Bahrain's Manama game wasn't easy; I wasn't surprised by the level of their team," the 61-year-old said, as per King Fut.

"We succeeded in raising the pace of our team's performance. Manama closed all the doors in the first half, but in the second half, we created many opportunities.

"We had many changes in the midfield, we brought on Abdel Raouf, and after he came off in the second half, he did a great job and was on time.

"The most important thing is that we played a good match, and we will appear in front of Sundowns in a different way."
