Lukaku Makes Decision On Chelsea Future

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has made a decision on future with six months left on his loan deal at Inter Milan.

Lukaku re-joined the Blues at the start of the 2021/2022 season but was unable to replicate the form he showed for Inter the campaign before.

After falling out with former Blues manager Thomas Tuchel, the 29-year-old returned to the San Siro on a season-long loan.

Lukaku has now revealed his wish to remain with Nerazzurri beyond the current campaign.

"I hope to stay at Inter also in the future. I want to continue here as I love this club, we will speak to Chelsea in order to find a solution," Lukaku told Sky Italia.

The Belgium international has revealed he had a long chat with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly about his situation with Tuchel.

"A few days after the Nations League match against the Netherlands, I spoke to the new owner of Chelsea," Lukaku said.

"It was a great chat in which I told him the whole truth, my version of what had happened and my relationship with Tuchel at that moment there.

"Then I decided to return to Inter, I had the opportunity and he opened the door for me. I started talking to the club and from that moment things went really fast. We talked for two weeks intensely then I left all the last details to my lawyer."
