With Percy Tau out injured, Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller has admitted he is unimpressed with the attackers currently at his disposal.
Kylian Mbappe Barcelona Bound?
The South African attacker looked to be back to his best form earlier this month when he scored in back-to-back Egyptian Premier League games against El Mahalla and El Ittihad following a long injury lay-off, but now finds himself back on the treatment table after suffering a torn muscle.
Tau's absence from the Al Ahly set-up has seemingly proved costly as the Club of the Century have drawn three of their past four matches, scoring only four goals in that time.
The latest of those draws came against Cleopatra FC on Wednesday, in which a 78th-minute Ali Maaloul penalty salvaged a point for the record African champions.
However, head coach Koller made it clear afterwards he was unimpressed with his attackers' showing in the tie, and added that the team is "missing" Tau.
"The Ceramica match started with Shadi Hussein as a striker in the starting line-up, wasting many opportunities, and choosing the striker for each match according to training and scoring," the Swiss tactician told reporters after the match, as per El Watan Sport.
"No one from the trio, Muhammad Sharif, Hossam Hassan, and Muhammad Sharif, has convinced me so far in the matches since the start of the current season.
"I tried to re-employ Percy Tau in the attacking position because I was not convinced of the attacking trio, and the South African player appeared well, but he was injured and we are currently missing him and he is absent from the matches, which is causing a crisis for us."
