Speaking ahead of his first return to former club FC Barcelona this weekend, Espanyol star Martin Braithwaite has revealed the major differences in playing for the two Catalan outfits.
Haaland Makes Premier League History Yet Again
LaLiga action is set to return this week, and one of the blockbuster fixtures set to restart the Spanish top flight after its 2022 FIFA World Cup hiatus is the Derbi Barceloni.
Espanyol will travel to the Camp Nou on Saturday to take on league leaders Barcelona as Diego Martinez's men look to move further away from the relegation zone.
Crosstown derbies are often rife with subplots, and this weekend's Catalan derby will be no different as the Parakeets star man Braithwaite returns to the club where he spent the last two-and-a-half seasons for the first time.
The 31-year-old Denmark international donned the famous blue and red of the Blaugrana on 58 occasions before his acrimonious departure in the off-season for a move to the RCDE Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the derby, the Scandinavian striker explained the difference between playing for Espanyol in comparison to five-time European champions Barcelona.
"Well, it's a different club in terms of size and in terms of media exposure," Braithwaite told members of the media.
"Here you can go and the things that you do, it goes a bit unnoticed.
"When you play for Barcelona, if you scratch yourself in the butt, it's going to be in the newspapers the day after.
"A lot more media attention and exposure when you are in another team."

Braithwaite has not scored in any of his past three league matches, something he will likely want to change against his former employers.
With that in mind, the Dane was also asked if he would celebrate should he put the ball past Marc-Andre ter Stegen on Saturday.
"It is something I will feel in the moment, what needs to be done," he answered.
