Insider Provides Latest On Chiefs' Pursuit Of Otladisa

An insider has provided the latest on Kaizer Chiefs and one of their in-demand transfer targets as clubs gear up for the second half of the season.

As reported by the Siya crew, both Chiefs and their rivals Orlando Pirates have been keeping a close eye on the former Mamelodi Sundowns player and showing interest in potentially adding him to their respective squads.

In edition 1294 of Soccer Laduma, it was reported that the Buccaneers appeared look to be the favourites to win the race for the winger at the time, with a view of reuniting him with his former Marumo Gallants teammates Miguel Timm and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, who were signed by the Soweto giants in the last transfer window.

The latest news reaching the Siya crew is that talks have started for Otladisa to possibly sign for Amakhosi in January, with indications that coach Arthur Zwane's side has identified a need to bolster the squad with the attacker in their pursuit of silverware and in the race for the championship.

As reported by the Siya crew, Chiefs did indeed make a move for the 27-year-old in the last transfer window and indications are that Gallants are willing to listen to offers for their prized asset.

"Don't rule out another move for a Marumo Gallants player to one of the Soweto giants in January and this time Otladisa is the target. Chiefs are still very interested in the player and there have been talks already about a possible move. It's highly possible and don't say I didn't tell you," said the source.

Otladisa has helped Gallants to reach the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup and his performances have been improving under coach Dan Malesela, having made 12 appearances in the DStv Premiership and provided two assists so far in the campaign.
