Reports in local media have suggested that Cape Town City have secured the services of 28-year-old striker Juan Camilo Zapata on a three-year deal.
The Citizens are however yet to confirm the Venezuelan's capture.
The Siya crew has dug further and has been led to believe that Zapata will be making his way to the Mother City this week, having secured a transfer from CD Hermanos Colmenarez in the Venezuelan Premier League.
He follows Cameroon striker Bertrand Mani who was also snapped up the Citizens earlier in November.
City already have five foreigners in Jordan Bender, Nathan Fasika, Kajally Drammeh, Darwin Gonzalez and Brice Ambina on their books and it remains to be seen which of these players will be sacrificed for the man who has netted 19 goals in 35 matches in all competitions this season.
