From SuperSport To Sundowns: The 5 Stars Living The Dream

From SuperSport To Sundowns: The 5 Stars Living The Dream

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Grant Kekana is delighted to see how much progress he and his former SuperSport United teammates Teboho Mokoena, Aubrey Modiba, Ronwen Williams and Sipho Mbule have made at Chloorkop.

Kekana, who is currently in his second season with Sundowns, have become one of the side's most important players in defence. Williams has taken over as number one goalkeeper from Denis Onyango, while Modiba is a key part of the side in defence and attack as left back.

In midfield, Mokoena is getting game time ahead of the likes of Bongani Zungu, Lebohang Maboe and Andile Jali, while Mbule is working hard to get more game time in the team.

The players from SuperSport are showing that they are able to compete at Sundowns and Kekana is hoping that they can keep on growing.

In fact, in Hugo Broos' latest Bafana Bafana squad, the only one who was not part of the side was Sipho Mbule, who is slowly showing his talent in the side.

"It's obviously great to see, and for us to be playing together again for a bigger team, it's even a better feeling. We understood each other from before, so that made it easier for us here. We've always stayed in touch. Even now, we are always together. I think that also helps us on the pitch, because we know how to motivate and push each other, and we never lead each other astray. It's a good feeling to see everyone doing so well," Kekana told the Siya crew.

Kekana further mentioned that it had always been their dream to play for a big team. Now, the five players are living their dream at Chloorkop.

"It (the dream) was always there. When you go to a big team, there's more expectations and more pressure. As a professional, these are things you want to experience and see how much you can push yourself. I think it's a challenge I wanted, and I am happy I took. I want to keep going until I can't do it anymore."
