Coach Provides Progress Report Of Myeni In Botswana

Former Bidvest Wits and Orlando Pirates player Sifiso Myeni bagged his first goal in Botswana and the coach he is working with, has commented on his progress.

Myeni joined lower division outfit VTM FC in August, joining the club after spending a long period in South Africa without a club in the professional ranks.

The club signed the 34-year-old with the hope that he would make a difference and guide the youngsters and it appears that the acquisition has been a stroke of genius. 

Head coach Nelson Olebile commented on the progress made by Myeni, who was on the scoresheet when VTM played Tlokweng United.

"Sifiso is doing well this side his experience is massive in this team. He is inspiring the boys a lot and also helping us from a technical point of view in terms of understanding the game and aligning his fellow teammates to adjust to the game strategies. The boys are looking up to him as a role model. Over the weekend, he scored his first goal, which was a beautiful goal and we won 3-2 against Tlokweng United. He is a player that you can enjoying working with every day and I have been happy with his contribution up to now," Olebile told the Siya crew.

The Soweto-born player is using his experience to help nurture some of the talent coming through in Botswana at the moment. The club signed him to ensure that he can help the side in different areas, both on and off the pitch.
