Ronaldo Finally Breaks Silence, Says He Does Not Respect Ten Hag!

Erik ten Hag and Cristiano Ronaldo

After months of making headlines for the wrong reasons, Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo admits, in a controversial interview, that he has no respect for club manager Erik ten Hag.

After the Portuguese forward was given the captain's armband for United's Premier League encounter against Aston Villa last weekend, it appeared that Ronaldo and the Dutchman had mended their relationship, but it seems that could not be further from the truth.

Speaking to English journalist Piers Morgan, as per The Sun, the 37-year-old football icon has not only lambasted Ten Hag but has also fired multiple shots at the club and the way in which it is being run.

Ronaldo has been on the periphery for much of the 52-year-old tactician's reign so far at Old Trafford, and it seems that it has rubbed the five-time Ballon d'Or winner the wrong way, as he claims he will not give the former Ajax Amsterdam boss an ounce of respect.

"I don't have respect for him because he doesn't show respect for me. If you don't have respect for me, I'm never gonna have respect for you," the Red Devils' top goalscorer from last season said.

"If you don't have respect for me, I'm never gonna have respect for you."

Ten Hag recently banned Ronaldo from the first-team after the marksman refused to come on in the final minutes of United's 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

He also fired shots at the club's chiefs claiming that they betrayed him and that they want him out, despite having just signed the Madeira native a little bit over a year ago.

"Yes, I feel betrayed," Ronaldo added.

"I felt that some people don't want me here, not only this year but last year too."

Real Madrid's all-time top goalscorer will now leave for the 2022 FIFA World Cup but whether he returns from the tournament a Manchester United player will remain to be seen.
