Klopp: Salah Is One Of The Best Ever!

Klopp: Salah Is One Of The Best Ever!

Mohamed Salah

Having netted a game-winning brace this past weekend against Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has been lauded by his manager Jurgen Klopp as one of the best to ever play the game.

Pep Hits Back At Zlatan After Ego Remarks

On Sunday night, the Reds managed to secure their first away win in the league this season when they came away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with all three points. Harry Kane's second-half strike was not enough to undo Salah's first-half double as the Merseyside club moved within seven points of the north Londoners, having played a game less.

After a relatively passive start to the season, the Egyptian winger has recaptured his prowess in front of goal. The 30-year-old has found the back of net the in his last four matches and now Klopp has heaped a tremendous amount of praise on the attacker, hailing the two-time African Player of the Year as one of the best forwards to ever live.

"Even in his 'slow start', he was involved in most chances in European football," he told reporters after their win over Spurs, as per Goal.

"He didn't take them or we didn't take them, but for a striker that is a completely normal phase.

"But everyone knows that in the end, when everyone looks back on his career in four, five or six years, everyone will remember one of the best strikers they ever saw because his numbers will be absolutely insane.

"What pleased me the most was that he scored the two goals, but that he played like a real, real team player.

"I'm not surprised by that, but it's just important. He was confronted by these questions as well, slow start or whatever, and then it is like you have to score a hat-trick or whatever.

"But it was first about defending and then he'll get his chances again. Really pleased for him. A top performance and showed an outstanding attitude."

Alexander-Arnold Responds To Claims He Can't Defend

His goals at the Lilywhites now means that only Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen (25) have scored at more away grounds than Salah (24) for Liverpool in the Premier League.
